Role Overview:
As a Direct Support Professional at Homewatch CareGivers, you will be responsible for providing compassionate care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and seniors in their homes. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with healthcare professionals and family members to implement personalized care plans that promote independence and safety. Whether you work on-site in Vinton County, you'll have the flexibility to make a meaningful impact in your clients' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care and meal preparation. Support clients in developing skills for greater independence and community participation. Maintain accurate documentation regarding client care and progress. Coordinate with family members and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a trusting relationship.
Qualifications:
You're a great fit if you have the following skills. Prior experience in caregiving or support roles is preferred. Excellent communication skills in English. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Compassionate and patient demeanor with a passion for helping others. Flexibility to meet the needs of clients and their families.
Bonus If You:
Have relevant certifications in caregiving or support services. Are fluent in additional languages. Have experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Employment Type & Availability:
This position is available as both Full-Time and Part-Time, with availability required Monday through Friday.
Location:
This position is on-site only in Vinton County, Ohio.
