Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs to ensure health and safety Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, using specialized techniques to promote comfort and orientation Implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions and reduce challenging behaviors Operate standard passenger vehicles safely for resident outings or appointments Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, resident progress, and incident reports Uphold residents' rights by respecting their autonomy and ensuring a respectful environment Assist with meal preparation, light cleaning, and maintaining a clean, safe living space Skills Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care environments Strong knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's disease, geriatrics, and developmental disabilities Ability to perform manual handling and safe patient lifting practices with heavy lifting when necessary Certification in CPR and First Aid to respond effectively during emergencies Excellent communication skills for engaging with residents, families, and team members Familiarity with medication administration protocols and vital signs monitoring Experience working within home & community care settings or group homes is highly valued Compassionate caregiving approach with a focus on client-centered support and behavior management techniques This role offers an engaging environment where your dedication helps enhance the quality of life for those you serve.
