Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation to promote independence and well-being Provide behavioral support by implementing behavior management strategies tailored to each individual's needs Support clients with cognitive disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders through engaging activities and positive reinforcement Operate your personal transportation vehicle safely to accompany clients to appointments, community outings, or errands, ensuring reliable transportation assistance Collect and document client data related to progress, behavior patterns, and service delivery for ongoing care planning Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to coordinate care plans and share important updates Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols including first aid and CPR procedures when necessary Requirements Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly preferred Knowledge of healthcare and caregiving client care practices and behavior management techniques and training courses are provided by the State of Ohio and privately Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely; valid driver's license required Prior experience in home & community care or social services supporting individuals with disabilities is desirable Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation Certification in First Aid and CPR is required and offered by your Counties fire department Personal transportation assistance experience is a plus Ability to work independently while collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support individuals with intellectual disabilities and behavioral health needs Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication transforms lives!
