Now Hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) A Direct Support Professional supports individuals with developmental disabilities to have a better quality of life. A DSP promotes the health, safety and well-being of residents. We are hiring full & part-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for our Wilmington and Milford locations. All shifts available including Weekend Warriors! We offer paid training with opportunities for advancement in a great team/family environment.
Direct Support Professional Job Responsibilities:
  • Provides direct care to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Performs personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, and ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks.
  • Ensures client safety and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning.
  • Preparing and serving food/meals, and clean-up.
  • Encourages self-help activities.
  • Reminds and assists clients with self-administration of medications (with proper training).
  • Documents- complete all documentation required.
  • All other duties required by supervisor.
Direct Support Professional Qualifications /
Skills:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver's license
