Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting them in daily living activities and promoting their independence. Your commitment to patient care and understanding of their unique needs will make a significant difference in their lives. Client is a young adult male. Needs help with meal prep Does not need restroom assistance 15 hours/week Schedule is as follows: Mon - Fri 3:30 pm-6:30 pm Second Saturday of the month: Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Provide patient monitoring and observation to ensure safety and well-being. Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including medication administration and vital signs monitoring. Support clients in community integration and social activities, fostering independence. Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and organization of shared spaces. Document client progress and any changes in condition while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Transport client into the community/Dr appointments Provide mobility support including assistance on stairs for safety and balance Must meet all Qualifications Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred. Background in caregiving, home health, assisted living, or long-term care is advantageous. Up to date DSP certificate is required Up to date First Aid and CPR certificate is required. Familiarity with patient care techniques including heavy lifting and patient observation is essential. Ability to prepare meals that meet dietary restrictions as needed. Must be 18+ years old Must have reliable vehicle Valid drivers license and valid car insurance 5 point or less on driving record Must have High School Diploma/G.E.D or college transcripts Background check required A compassionate approach towards individuals requiring support in their daily lives.
