Job Description
We are currently seeking State Tested Nurse Aides (STNAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide personal care and support to clients in their homes. No prior experience required — we welcome compassionate individuals who are willing to learn and grow with us. Primary Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility Measure and document vital signs ( STNAs only , as permitted by the care plan) Assist with meal preparation and feeding Provide light housekeeping related to client care Observe and report changes in client condition to the supervising nurse Follow individualized care plans and agency policies Maintain client confidentiality and ensure safety at all times Provide companionship and emotional support Required Qualifications - Ohio ComplianceFor STNAs Completion of an ODH-approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) (minimum 75 hours) For HHAs Completion of a state- or federally compliant Home Health Aide training program , including: Minimum 75 hours of training At least 16 hours of supervised clinical training Additional Requirements (All Applicants) Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or GED preferred Ability to pass an Ohio BCI background check Negative TB test (per ODH standards) Physically able to perform job duties (including lifting up to 50 lbs) Reliable transportation and valid identification Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Willingness to comply with HIPAA, infection control, and safety standards Preferred (Not Required) Prior home health or long-term care experience CPR/First Aid certification Why Join Open Arms Home Health Care?
