Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and document vital signs, medication administration, and changes in patient condition using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other cognitive impairments, including memory care and behavioral support Support patients during end-of-life or hospice care with compassion, dignity, and respect Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe environment in compliance with home healthcare regulations Assist with medical procedures like catheter care, wound dressing changes, and basic first aid or CPR when needed Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care plans and client satisfaction Qualifications Prior experience working as an HHA or STNA in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare settings is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, patient care techniques, and home health care regulations Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or geriatrics is advantageous Certification in CPR and basic life support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as first aid are a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks involved in patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfers Strong communication skills with the ability to maintain patient records accurately within EHR systems Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality senior care and supporting clients' independence Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a home setting Join us today to become part of a caring team dedicated to improving lives through exceptional home health services.
