Job Description

Job Overview Willing to train the right candidate! At Centerville Family Eye Care, we see patients for a range of eyecare needs -- from routine vision screenings and contact lens evaluations to management of cataracts, glaucoma, and more. The optometric technician works closely with our doctors and patients, playing an important role by performing pre- and diagnostic testing, checking visual acuities, charting, and maintaining an optimal clinic flow. We are looking for a skillful Optometric technician who is detail oriented, amicable and enjoys working with patients of all ages.
Optometric Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform pre-testing, check visual acuities, and document history, chief complaints, and medications. Use of diagnostic equipment, such as auto-refractor, lensometer, Optos retinal camera, non-cataract tonometer, visual field analyzer, and OCT Assist with doctor correspondence by forwarding exam reports, diabetic letters, and more. Maintain clinic efficiency and time management Clean and Sanitize equipment and restock exam rooms.
