Responsibilities Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Perform patient observation to detect changes in condition or behavior, especially for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Provide specialized care for patients with developmental disabilities, hospice needs, or memory care requirements. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding while adhering to dietary restrictions and safety standards. Conduct light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment. Support clients with mobility aids like Hoyer lifts and assistive devices to promote safety during transfers and movement. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience caring for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease is advantageous. Proven ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring long-term care support is highly preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and medical documentation standards including HIPAA regulations. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required Strong patient observation skills combined with compassionate caregiving attitude are essential for success in this role.
