WEEKEND WARRIOR

(Westlake) As a Direct Support Professional (DSP)

WEEKEND WARRIOR

(Westlake), you will provide person-centered care in a family-style group home setting to individuals who may have cognitive impairments, chronic illnesses or other disabilities and need assistance with daily living activities. The ideal DSP candidate has a strong desire to create a positive impact on the individuals lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring and coaching others to achieve their goals. (Westlake): Background check will be completed upon hire Valid drivers license and/or reliable transportation Proof of auto insurance Social security card Must be available to work most weekends (1 weekend off per month) Positive attitude Essential Duties & Responsibilities for Direct Support Professional (DSP)

WEEKEND WARRIOR

(Westlake): Assist individuals with daily personal tasks, including toileting, bathing and dressing Assists in household tasks such as washing clothes, washing dishes and tidying Encourage engagement in social networks and communities Physical Requirements Due to the physical limitations of the individuals that we serve, this position requires all staff members to be able to lift the individuals with the assistance of coworkers. All staff must be able to respond quickly to emergency situations such as fire drills and evacuations, unstable weather drills and ensuring individual safety at all times.
