In this dynamic role, you will provide personalized support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, helping them achieve greater independence and community engagement. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs), including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks Support clients in participating in community activities, appointments, and social outings using personal transportation or agency vehicles Implement behavior management strategies tailored to individual needs, especially for clients with autism or neurodevelopmental disorders Collect data on client progress and document observations accurately to inform care plans and service adjustments Administer medications following prescribed protocols and maintain detailed medication administration records Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure consistent support and understanding Provide caregiving support that promotes independence while respecting each individual's preferences and goals Requirements Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely for client transportation purposes Familiarity with home and community care environments, including assisting with ADLs and behavioral management techniques Strong communication skills to effectively engage clients and collaborate with team members Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in personal transportation assistance is a plus Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed Join us in creating empowering experiences for individuals with disabilities!
