•We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to provide exceptional support and care to individuals with diverse needs in various settings, including group homes, assisted living facilities, and community-based environments. Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques. Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing for changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately while respecting residents' rights and privacy under HIPAA guidelines. Support medication administration following care plans and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and ensuring adherence to infection control standards. Document care activities, resident progress, and incident reports clearly and accurately to ensure continuity of care. Provide emotional support through active listening, engaging in meaningful communication, and fostering a respectful atmosphere that promotes dignity and independence. Qualifications Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or dementia care experience is highly valued. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, patient monitoring, and managing resident's rights is essential. Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts, and assisting with mobility aids. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or medication administration are preferred. Experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments is advantageous. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Ability to work flexible hours in a dynamic environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion.
