Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to patients in various healthcare settings. This role is crucial in assisting patients with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Duties Assist patients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Provide support with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety at all times. Monitor and document patient vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff. Help patients with meal preparation and feeding as needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols. Assist in the transportation of patients to various departments such as outpatient clinics, emergency medicine, or inpatient units. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to individual patient needs. Participate in training sessions and educational programs to enhance skills related to the position. Requirements Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred. Knowledge of outpatient care processes and emergency medicine practices is beneficial. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with patient care, including lifting and moving patients safely.
