Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including home, assisted living, nursing homes, and community environments. This vital role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs and reporting changes promptly Support medication administration following proper protocols and HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption Use patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility Maintain accurate care plans, document patient progress, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams Provide personal transportation assistance for appointments or errands while ensuring client safety and comfort Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and maintaining a safe environment Support patients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies Respond swiftly to emergencies with first aid or CPR when necessary, adhering to safety standards Engage in patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior that require attention Respect residents' rights by promoting dignity, privacy, and independence at all times Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to provide patient personal care assistance with compassion and professionalism Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient transfer methods Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as Hoyer lift training or hospice care experience are a plus Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks confidently in a caregiving setting Join us in delivering heartfelt support that empowers individuals to live safely and comfortably.
