Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods. Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare professionals. Support medication administration following HIPAA regulations and care plans to ensure safe and accurate delivery of treatments. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning and preparation to meet individual dietary needs. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing regular cleaning tasks and adhering to infection control protocols. Provide patient observation and engagement to ensure safety, especially for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism, or other neurodevelopmental disorders. Support residents' participation in community activities and facilitate transportation using personal transportation assistance when needed. Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of patient care techniques including patient monitoring, CPR/First Aid certification, and medication administration. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities support, or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or dementia is desirable. Familiarity with care plans, HIPAA compliance, and documentation standards for patient records. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and utilize patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork within multidisciplinary settings. Valid certifications in CPR/First Aid are required; additional certifications related to hospice care or geriatrics are a plus.
