Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate documentation in care plans Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and prescribed schedules Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Facilitate patient transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safety during mobility tasks Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control protocols Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community outings, promoting social engagement and independence Qualifications Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living communities is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to observe patients closely and respond appropriately to changes in condition or behavior Knowledge of patient safety procedures including first aid, CPR, and emergency response protocols Familiarity with care plans, medication administration processes, and resident's rights within healthcare environments Experience operating patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts and understanding of manual handling techniques Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork within multidisciplinary care teams Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with physical tasks involving manual support or patient transfers Join us if you're passionate about providing compassionate care that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
