Dorcas Home Care Angency has immediate openings for Direct Support Professionals in the Montgemry, Buck, Berks, Chester, Delaware and Phildephia region. We are looking for dependable, caring, and competent direct care workers to join our agency and assist individuals with activities of daily living to enable them to enjoy the quality of life in the comfort of their homes. Caregiving:

1 year (Preferred) Driver's License (Preferred) Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities:

Assisting clients with daily personal & hygienel tasks, including bathing and dressing - Respite care Completing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, laundry, washing dishes and tidying Helping plan client appointments and organize a schedule Organizing with transportation arrangements to appointments Shopping for groceries and preparing meals that meet specific client dietary needs Encouraging client engagement in social networks and communities & companionship Medication reminders

Documentation:

Preparing and maintaining records of indivuial progress and services performed, reporting changes in client conditions to manager or supervisor. Skills Respectful, compassionate and patient Quality of time management skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Adherence to a professional code of ethics and confidentiality Ability to recognize the rights of consumers. Flexibility Knowledge of and ability to comply with the Federal, State and Agency Mandated Regulation.

Driver's License with reliable transportation CNA/HHA License (Preferred) A criminal background check (Required) MUST have current two-step TB clearance (PPD) or Chest X-ray CPR Certified (Perferred)
