Job Description

Overview The right candidate will be responsible for providing compassionate care and assistance to a woman with intellectual and developmental disorder to participate in an everyday life in the community. All candidates must possess a strong belief in the participant self-direction model. If you have prior experience, we encourage you to apply for this position. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. Whether assisting with daily activities, supporting community engagement, or monitoring health, your efforts will empower individuals to thrive in a supportive environment.
Duties include:
Assist with the implementation of the outcomes in his Individual Service Plan (ISP) Promote home and community based safety and welfare Assistance with exercises and any other therapies required. Promote and assist to identify opportunities for socialization through entertainment that leads to the development of friendships with people her age. Assistance with improving and maintaining her Daily Living Skills and homemaker responsibilities Complete daily documentation and reports Perform any reasonable function as requested by the individual, her family, or support team. Assistance with personal care needs Promoting independence and confidence Qualifications Must be at least 18-years old 2+ years experience preferred Clear criminal background checks, which may include the PA Criminal Background Check and FBI Finger Print Check Possession of a valid driver's license with a safe driving record Ability to work effectively as a member of a team Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Maintain a safe home environment Computer skills required Strong work ethic and dependability Commitment to equality for all individuals
Schedule:
M-F, Fridays 9AM-5PM or 8AM-4PM, weekdays, will discuss during interview
Job Type:
Part-time Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
