Job Description

Join our amazing team as a Direct Support Professional (DPS)! At EHCA, we assist people with disabilities to live rich and fulfilling lives. We provide compassionate, therapeutic, and medical support to individuals of all ages and all levels of disability while enabling them to live with purpose and dignity. As a Direct Support Professional, you will help each person have the opportunity to make choices, contribute to their daily lifestyle, obtain the best education or training available, and enjoy a home-like atmosphere with quality caregivers.
FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME POSITIONS.

$.50 per hour increase after 6 months All positions are eligible for a matching 401K contribution 30 HPW (hour per week) or greater positions offer vision insurance at no cost 30 HPW positions are offered medical insurance (for the employee) at $15 per pay period 37.5 HPW and greater positions are offered dental insurance and life insurance at no cost Paid Time Off - PTO and sick time benefits available after 3 months of employment Paid Holidays - Holiday pay after 30 days of employment
Paid Training Employee Referral Program Flexible Spending Account Employee Assistance Program DSP Requirements:
Have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Be 18 years of age or older. Obtain all clearances as required to meet regulatory compliance. A typical day could include activities like these: Feed, bathe, dress, and provide all personal care for individuals. Record all necessary information, observations, and daily progress notes. Accompany and transport individuals for social, work, shopping, meal, and medical appointments. Be a positive role model to individuals, neighbors, and the community regarding behavior, dress, and respect for others. Provide support and help individuals manage day-to-day activities. Transport the consumers in Agency and personal vehicles when needed. Responsible for implementing emergency treatment and life-saving techniques to the extent that training and Agency protocol allow. Responsible for the care and upkeep of facilities. Required to administer medications to residents following completion of the Agency's Medication Administration Training Program.
DSP DOES NOT HAVE SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
