Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will empower residents to live as independently as possible while ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition or behavior Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals, assist with cooking, and ensure proper meal presentation for residents' dietary needs Support residents during outings or community activities to promote social engagement and independence Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistive devices to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance Document care activities accurately in resident records, including progress notes and incident reports Skills Proven experience working in assisted living, group homes, nursing homes, or home & community care settings Knowledge of patient care techniques including assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and patient monitoring Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training, and experience with dementia or Alzheimer's care are highly desirable Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or memory impairments Strong observational skills for patient safety and patient observation duties Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting residents with mobility needs using Hoyer lifts or similar equipment Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage positively with residents Join us in creating a supportive environment where every individual receives personalized care that promotes dignity and independence. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
