Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety procedures Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a safe and comfortable environment Implement behavior management techniques tailored to individual needs, especially for clients with dementia or cognitive disabilities Follow safe patient lifting practices and manual handling techniques to prevent injury during transfers or mobility assistance Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, memory care, dementia care, and geriatrics enhances your ability to support clients effectively Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; ongoing training in safe patient lifting practices is a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles safely for client outings or appointments Strong communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare teams Physical stamina for heavy lifting and long shifts; compassionate attitude essential for providing exceptional care Embark on a fulfilling career where your caregiving skills create a positive impact every day.
