DSP (Direct Support Professional with Experience) Join Our Team and Make a Difference Every Day! Are you passionate about helping others live meaningful, independent lives? We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide quality care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in both home and community settings. As a DSP, you will play an important role in empowering individuals, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety, dignity, and overall well-being. Responsibilities Provide direct support with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and companionship Encourage independence, social engagement, and community participation Implement individualized care plans and Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs) Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment Accompany individuals to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and community activities Provide reliable transportation as needed Accurately document services, progress notes, and goal tracking Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and agency policies Qualifications Previous experience working as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) required Experience supporting individuals with behavioral needs and implementing BSPs preferred Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Compassionate, dependable, patient, and adaptable Ability to assist with mobility and personal care needs Knowledge of person-centered care and individual rights Requirements Valid driver's license Reliable personal transportation Ability to pass required background checks and screenings Ability to work independently and responsibly
