Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including home, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques. Monitor patients' vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to ensure health stability. Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality and safety. Provide companionship and emotional support while observing patients for any changes in condition or behavior, especially in dementia, Alzheimer's, or memory care cases. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning patient areas and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents accurately in compliance with healthcare standards. Support patients during community outings or personal transportation needs while ensuring their safety at all times. Qualifications Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care environments such as group homes or nursing homes is highly preferred. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, first aid, CPR certification, and basic nursing skills is essential. Experience with Alzheimer's care, dementia support, memory care strategies, hospice care, or home health services is a strong plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper manual handling techniques; experience working with Hoyer lifts is advantageous. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy and confidentiality at all times. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
