Duties Monitor residents' safety and well-being throughout the overnight shift, including patient observation and patient monitoring. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as personal care, grooming, mobility, and medication administration following care plans. Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration to ensure nutritional needs are met. Conduct routine safety checks, including vital signs measurement, Hoyer lift operation, and manual handling to assist with patient transfers. Maintain accurate documentation of resident care activities while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Respond promptly to emergency situations using first aid skills, CPR certification, and appropriate patient transfer methods. Perform light cleaning duties to uphold a safe and sanitary environment within the residence or facility. Assist with transportation for medical appointments or community outings using personal transportation assistance when needed. Support residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or other neurodevelopmental disabilities by implementing specialized memory care strategies. Communicate effectively with team members and family members regarding resident status and progress. Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred. Knowledge of patient care techniques including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer's care. Familiarity with care equipment such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods is highly desirable. Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications in HIPAA compliance or hospice care are a plus. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks comfortably. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous.
