One-on-one direct care opportunity available in Wynnewood Pa Seeking an energetic and reliable person to serve as a Support Service Professional (SSP) for an active young man with autism. He uses an alphabet board and an iPad with text to speech capability to communicate. Great listening skills are a must. Candidates must be willing to train as a communication support partner-training provided! You must hold a clean driving record and have a good knowledge of the local community. All candidates must possess a strong belief in the participant self-direction model. If you have prior experience working with adults with autism, you are encouraged to apply! The ideal candidate would be creative and assist with planning activities in the community to enhance social engagement

Qualifications:

• Clear Criminal Background checks and drug screening
• Possession of Valid PA Driver's License with Safe Driving Record
• Ability to work Independently but effectively as a Team Member

• Some computer skills required

Requirements:

Staff will be interviewed, hired, trained, and supervised by the family. Resumes will be reviewed prior to first interview. Salary will be$20-23/hr, depending on education and experience. This position does not include benefits Hours available: Saturday 11a-5p Sunday 11a-5p
