$31/hr (W-2) Overview We're hiring a dependable, kind, and patient Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support an adult with an intellectual/developmental disability in the Yardley, PA 19067 area. This role focuses on companionship, community outings, and building independence through consistent routines, skill-building, and positive support. Schedule Approximately 20 hours per week .
Primary schedule is:
Monday through Friday 1pm to 5pm, with some flexibility. Weekends are a plus There is flexibility with scheduling on days and hours. It will be coordinated with the family. What You'll Do Provide companionship and social interaction (conversation, games, walks, activities) Support community activities and appointments (transportation required) Assist with daily living skills (simple meal preparation, basic household tasks, planning ahead, and daily hygiene support) Provide medication reminders according to training and care plan requirements Maintain close safety supervision in the community (individual cannot be out independently) Use a supportive approach by allowing extra processing time, breaking tasks into smaller steps, and using positive reinforcement Drive the individual to appointments, activities, and community outings Please do not apply if you are not comfortable assisting with ADLs, as this is an essential requirement of the position. What We're Looking For Valid driver's license, reliable insured vehicle, and clean driving record May drive client up to 30 miles per day (maximum) Patient, calm, dependable, and able to follow a support plan Ability to pass required Pennsylvania clearances/background checks (guidance provided) Experience in caregiving, DSP work, or behavioral health is a plus, but not required How to Apply Please reply with: Your general availability Relevant experience Earliest possible start date
