Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Care Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting vital signs and updating medical histories using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Support clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) protocols Document patient interactions accurately, including medical records, ICD coding, and detailed medical documentation Manage patient flow within the clinic or hospital setting, ensuring smooth transitions between departments and timely care delivery Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas, including medical supplies and equipment management Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, offering comfort, and ensuring a positive experience during visits Support hospital medicine, urgent care, dermatology, geriatrics, internal medicine, or emergency medicine departments as needed Experience Prior experience in medical office support or healthcare environments such as clinics, hospitals, or emergency settings Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology to assist with clinical tasks effectively Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is preferred Inpatient or Level I Trauma Center experience is advantageous for candidates interested in high-acuity settings Familiarity with ICD coding, medication administration protocols, and medical documentation standards Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments such as hospital medicine or urgent care clinics Join us to make a meaningful difference in patient lives while advancing your career in healthcare!
