Aaron Consulting & Co. is an accredited outpatient behavioral health agency specializing in community-based services for youth and adults. We are currently seeking dependable, compassionate, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide primarily Community Living & Supports (CLS) and Respite services throughout the Winston-Salem area, with additional opportunities in Greensboro and High Point. Our Direct Support Professionals work one-on-one with individuals in their homes and throughout the community. The role focuses on helping the people we serve build skills, participate in meaningful activities, increase independence, and receive individualized support based on their needs and goals. We serve both youth and adults with mental health diagnoses and varying support needs . What You'll Do As a Direct Support Professional, responsibilities may include: Provide one-on-one Community Living & Supports and Respite services Support individuals in their homes and community settings Assist with developing daily living and independence skills Encourage community participation and social engagement Support communication and interpersonal skill development Assist with routines and age-appropriate daily responsibilities Participate in community activities based on the individual's interests and goals Provide appropriate supervision and support based on individual needs Encourage choice, independence, and self-advocacy Follow individualized service plans and agency requirements Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with individuals and families Communicate effectively with families, supervisors, and other members of the support team Complete required service documentation accurately and within established timeframes Who We're Looking For We're looking for individuals who genuinely enjoy working with people and understand that consistency and dependability are essential when individuals and families are relying on their support. The ideal candidate is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team .

Dependable and consistent Patient and compassionate Professional Comfortable working with both youth and adults Able to work independently in community settings A strong team player Comfortable communicating with individuals, families, and agency staff Willing to actively engage with the individuals they support Able to maintain professional boundaries Responsible with scheduling, communication, and documentation Previous experience in behavioral health, mental health, intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD), community-based services, direct support, respite, caregiving, or other human services settings is preferred.

Requirements Candidates must:

Have a high school diploma or equivalent Have a valid driver's license Have reliable transportation Be willing and able to travel to individuals' homes and approved community locations Be able to successfully complete required background checks and credentialing Complete required agency and service-specific training Maintain reliable communication with the agency Complete required service documentation within established timeframes Additional qualifications may be required depending on the individual or service assignment. Hours & Scheduling This position offers up to 30 hours per week , with the potential for additional hours based on individual service needs, authorization, availability, and additional assignments.

Schedules may include:

Weekdays After-school hours Evenings Some weekends Because our services are individualized, schedules vary by assignment. Applicants should be able to consistently maintain the schedule they agree to once assigned. Compensation Starting pay is approximately $16.00 per hour.
