Home Health Aide

Job Description

We have an
IMMEDIATE
opening for a compassionate caregiver to assist an elderly patient who recently had surgery and is returning home. Successful candidate(s) will provide mobility assistance, supervision, companionship, light house-keeping and meal preparation to an elderly client residing in the Paoli area of Chester County. Hours are 8:00am-8:00pm or 8:00pm-8:00am (overnight). Sign on bonus of $250 offered for the right candidate. Don't wait; apply NOW .
Job Overview:
As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and providing essential support to ensure their well-being and comfort. You will work closely with clients in their homes, helping them maintain independence and dignity.
Duties:
  • Assist clients with personal care tasks outlined in their individual care plans, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene.
  • Support clients in ambulation, transfers, and mobility exercises as specified in the care plan.
  • Create a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning/sanitizing living spaces, laundry, and grocery shopping.
  • Prepare nutritious meals for clients based on their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Remind clients to take medications as prescribed.
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical, mental, or emotional well-being promptly.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, their families, and healthcare team members.
  • Participate in continuing education programs and team meetings as required.
  • Complete accurate documentation of services provided in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a caregiver or home health aide is preferred.
  • Ability to assist with transfers is required.
  • Negative 2 Step PPD or QuantiFERON Blood Test or Chest X-ray.
  • Possession of two forms of identification (Driver's License or State Issued Photo ID and Social Security Card or Birth Certificate).
