Our mission is to provide support and services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in order to achieve their desired level of integration, independence, and productivity. Overview Join our dedicated team as a PASS (Personal Assistance and Support Services) Direct Support Professional, where your compassion and skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. In this vital role, you will provide 1:1 personalized support, promote independence, and foster community engagement for children with diverse needs. This position offers an engaging opportunity to empower individuals through compassionate caregiving, behavioral support, and community integration while ensuring their safety and well-being. Locations:
Westerly Charlestown Hopkinton Coventry West Greenwich Warwick Providence Warren Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation to promote independence and comfort. Provide behavioral health support by implementing behavior management strategies tailored to each individual's needs. Collect data on client progress, behaviors, and activities to inform care plans and monitor development. Engage clients in social activities, recreational programs, and community events to foster social skills and community integration. Collaborate with families, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support tailored to each individual's goals. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety standards, including first aid and CPR procedures when necessary. Document client interactions meticulously to track progress and communicate effectively with team members about individual needs. Experience Background in special education or behavioral health supports preferred. Strong communication skills are essential for effective client interaction, documentation, and teamwork. All applicants must have a valid driver's license, auto liability insurance, clear driving record and access to a dependable vehicle and insured by the agency.
