We are seeking an experienced and compassionate part time caregiver to provide hands-on support for a non-verbal special needs adult. The ideal candidate should have prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, be patient, and possess strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Provide hands-on assistance with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and mobility). Utilize non-verbal communication techniques to engage with and understand the client's needs. Ensure the client's safety and well-being at all times. Assist with therapeutic activities, exercises, and sensory engagement as recommended by healthcare professionals. Implement behavioral strategies and routines to support the client's independence. Maintain a clean and organized environment. Monitor and report any changes in health, behavior, or needs to family or supervisors.

Qualifications:

Experience working with non-verbal individuals (special needs, autism, cerebral palsy, etc.) is required. Hands-on caregiving experience (home care, group home, or similar setting). Ability to use alternative communication methods (gestures, PECs, assistive devices, etc.). Patience, empathy, and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to lift and assist with mobility as needed.
