Support residents with mobility using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to promote safety. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal consumption while respecting dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring adherence to infection control protocols. Document patient information accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies. Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive atmosphere that respects residents' rights and individuality. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to observe patients closely, including monitoring vital signs and recognizing changes in condition. Experience with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, or hospice care enhances your ability to support complex needs. Knowledge of medication administration procedures and first aid/CPR certification is preferred. Familiarity with patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices is advantageous. Proven skills in caregiving for individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders are valued.
