Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing behavior, and reporting any concerns promptly Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning in accordance with care plans Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and prescribed schedules under supervision Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe transfer of residents to prevent injury Maintain cleanliness of living spaces by performing light housekeeping tasks and adhering to infection control standards Support clients during community outings or activities to foster social engagement and independence Skills Proven experience in assisted living, home health, or long-term care environments; group home experience is highly valued Knowledge of patient care techniques including CPR, first aid, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, autism support, and hospice care Ability to accurately monitor vital signs and observe patient behavior for changes in condition Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, and families Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility; comfortable working in demanding environments Compassionate attitude with a passion for supporting individuals with disabilities or aging needs
Requirements:
- Valid SC Driver's License (REQUIRED) HS Diploma/GED (college transcripts if applicable) Background checks (SLED & DSS) Clean driving record Ability to lift up to 50 lbs TB test & drug screening
