Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional working overnight shifts from Friday at 11:00 pm to 7am Saturday,Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to individuals with developmental disabilities, cognitive impairments, and aging-related needs. Your energetic and proactive approach will ensure residents receive the support they need to thrive in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working overnight hours that suit your lifestyle. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability. Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety standards. Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote independence and well-being, including meal preparation and recreational activities. Practice safe patient lifting techniques and manual handling to prevent injury for both residents and staff. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control procedures. Communicate effectively with residents' families, healthcare providers, and team members to coordinate care plans and report any concerns or changes in condition. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, geriatrics, and behavioral management strategies. Experience assisting with ADLs and providing personal care in residential or home & community care settings. Familiarity with vital signs measurement, medication administration, CPR certification, first aid training, and safe patient lifting practices. Background working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous. Ability to operate a standard passenger car for transportation needs is preferred but not required.
