Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to ensure comfort and dignity. Support patients with mobility and transfers using proper techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods to promote safety. Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation. Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration following HIPAA guidelines to ensure safety and compliance. Help clients with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment. Offer companionship and emotional support while fostering positive communication, respecting residents' rights, and encouraging social engagement. Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to observe patients closely, monitor vital signs, and recognize signs of medical emergencies or changes in condition. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and caring for individuals with neurodevelopmental or developmental disabilities is advantageous. Certification or experience in CPR and first aid is required; additional training in manual handling, patient transfer methods (such as Hoyer lifts), and HIPAA compliance is beneficial. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with assisted mobility using proper techniques. Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism spectrum disorder enhances your candidacy.
