Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide essential support and care to individuals with diverse needs in various care settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing clients' quality of life through attentive personal care, patient observation, and assistance with daily activities. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring assistance with their health, mobility, and personal routines. Candidates with experience in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home health environments are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Medication reminders Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks and ensuring infection control standards are met. Provide emotional support and effective communication to residents, fostering a respectful and caring atmosphere. Assist clients with transportation needs within the community or to medical appointments, ensuring safety at all times. Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health care is highly desirable. Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and basic first aid/CPR certification. Ability to perform appropriate patient transfer methods Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental/intellectual disabilities. Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented approach in fast-paced environments.
