Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall condition; report changes to healthcare professionals promptly Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility assistance Maintain a clean environment by performing light cleaning duties in accordance with health standards Support patients with memory care needs, including dementia or Alzheimer's care, using specialized techniques to ensure safety and comfort Skills Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments Strong patient observation skills with the ability to recognize changes in condition or behavior Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders Proficiency in patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and patient personal care assistance techniques Ability to perform first aid and CPR confidently; certification preferred but not required Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork in caregiving settings Embark on a fulfilling career dedicated to enhancing quality of life through compassionate care.
