Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare professionals Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal consumption while respecting dietary restrictions and preferences Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and ensuring infection control standards are met Provide compassionate patient personal care assistance while respecting residents' rights and dignity Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia or Alzheimer's care, utilizing specialized techniques for safety and comfort Assist with transportation to appointments or community activities using appropriate safety procedures Document care activities accurately in resident records and participate in developing or updating individualized care plans Follow all protocols for manual handling, patient transfer methods, and emergency procedures such as first aid or CPR when needed Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care environments such as group homes or nursing facilities Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and HIPAA compliance Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare teams Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and utilize patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts effectively Familiarity with dementia care strategies including memory support techniques and resident's rights advocacy Skilled in assisting with ADLs, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and maintaining a clean living environment Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly valued Knowledge of home & community care practices along with hospice or palliative care experience is advantageous Ability to respond calmly in emergency situations through first aid or CPR certification Demonstrated compassion, patience, reliability, and a proactive attitude toward caregiving responsibilities Join us today to become part of a dedicated team committed to enriching lives through compassionate care!
