Job Description

ComPassion Personal Care Services (CPCS) is looking for individuals wanting to provide direct care in home settings. POSITION SUMMARY
Assist clients with the personal care and activities of daily living.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must have the ability to read and write.
  • Must be able to understand and carry out directions and deal effectively with the demands of the job.
  • High school graduate, GED or CAN
  • Will care for clients that meet the admission criteria of the agency.
  • Reliable transportation, proof of current automobile insurance and valid drivers license.
  • Must pass a criminal history check and not be listed on the State Employee Misconduct Registry.
  • Experience in a health care setting is preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist client with minor housekeeping functions, i.e.; empty trash, wash dishes, and make beds.
  • Turn and position bed bound clients at least every two hours as assigned.
  • Assist clients with bath, care of mouth, skin, hair, and dressing. Help with nail care of non-diabetic clients.
  • Assist clients in and out of bed. Assist clients with ambulation.
  • Assist clients to bathroom or in using bedpan.
  • Carry out all assignments and accept new responsibilities as requested by the Administrator.
  • Assist client at mealtimes - either bring tray to client's room or help ambulate to and from dining room. Follow appropriate dress code.
  • Attend a minimum of 4 hours in-service training per year.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:
$12.50 - $15.00 per hour
