Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires a strong understanding of patient care, medical terminology, and the ability to work effectively with individuals with various needs, including those with developmental disabilities and memory care requirements. Duties Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing. Help clients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life. Monitor and document patient health status, including vital signs when necessary. Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals. Assist with catheter care and other medical needs as required. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Support clients in engaging in daily activities that promote independence. Requirements Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care practices is essential. Experience working in nursing homes or similar environments is preferred. Familiarity with catheter care procedures is a plus. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality. Ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities or memory care needs. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care. Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
