Job Summary As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential daily care and support to individuals with disabilities in a residential setting. The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, dependable, and committed to helping individuals maintain as much independence as possible. Key Responsibilities Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, meals, and other personal care needs
Provide medication reminders and assistance as permitted
Monitor and document client health, behaviors, activities, and vital signs as required
Support individuals with social, recreational, and community activities
Assist with mobility and transfers, which may include occasional heavy lifting
Prepare meals and assist with household duties
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized group home environment
Follow individualized care plans and established procedures
Communicate effectively with supervisors, healthcare professionals, and other team members
Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
Immediately report changes in condition, incidents, or safety concerns Qualifications Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred
Experience in a group home, home health, caregiving, or similar setting is a plus
Compassionate, patient, professional, and dependable
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and follow established care plans and procedures
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including assisting with mobility and lifting as needed
