Position Summary:
We are looking for a reliable, professional, and team-oriented individual to join our clinic in Heber as a full-time, long-term Patient Care Assistant/Receptionist. This position will have shared responsibilities between patient care and reception, providing an opportunity to work in both areas of the clinic and play an important role in delivering an excellent patient experience
Essential Job Functions:
Provide courteous, friendly, and professional service to all patients and coworkers while contributing to a positive work environment. Rotate between Patient Care Assistant and Front Desk Receptionist duties as assigned. Room patients, obtain vital signs, and prepare patients for medical examinations, along with all other patient care needs. Clean and sterilize rooms, equipment, and supplies before the start of the day and between patients. Provide prompt, courteous registration services to all patients and families. Verify and update patient demographics, insurance information, and appointment details, accurately enter patient and insurance information into the system. Schedule appointments accurately and confirm appointments with patients. Collect co-payments at the time of service, process payments, and reconcile daily cash reports. Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously; transfer calls tactfully and provide accurate information. Accurately document orders, referrals, and laboratory tests in designated systems. Document follow-up activities related to health maintenance and quality-of-care measures, and perform all other duties as assigned. Take and appropriately route patient messages and tasks.
Qualifications:
2 years as a Patient Care Assistant/Medical Assistant. High School diploma or equivalent. Two years' experience in customer service-related field. Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral.
Hours:
32 hours per week. Schedule varies Monday -Friday 8am-5pm.
