None Our Client is seeking a motivated professional to work as a Direct Support Professional in the city of Alexandria.SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
- Help with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises as needed.
- Ensure proper diet and nutrition, and assist with feeding if required.
- Follow individualized behavior support plans to address specific needs and challenges.
- Use positive reinforcement and behavioral techniques to manage and improve behavior.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and budgeting.
- Provide educational and recreational activities that promote personal growth and independence.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the group home environment.
- Assist with household chores such as cooking, laundry, and cleaning.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of individuals' progress, incidents, and any changes in their condition.
- Advocate for the needs and preferences of individuals, ensuring their rights and choices are respected.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to foster a positive and supportive environment.
CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent
- Willingness and ability to provide direct care and supportive services as needed
- Valid Driver's License
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Crisis Prevention Institute Certification (preferred)
- AMAP certification (preferred)
