Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional support and care to individuals across various care settings. In this vital role, you will assist clients with daily activities, monitor their health and well-being, and promote independence while ensuring their safety and comfort. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safe movement Maintain cleanliness of client living spaces through regular cleaning and sanitation practices Provide emotional support, engage in meaningful communication, and foster a respectful environment that upholds residents' rights Requirements Certification in CPR, first aid, and safe patient handling is required; ongoing training encouraged Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality at all times Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks effectively Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is a plus Join us in making a positive impact by providing compassionate care that enhances quality of life.
