We are looking for 2-3 DSPs to join the support team. This position is a great fit for someone who is patient, dependable, active, and comfortable supporting a person with daily living needs while promoting independence and participation in the community. Schedule Coverage is needed seven days per week:

Monday-Sunday:

9:00 AM-7:00 PM Schedules may be developed based on candidate availability and coverage needs. Full-time employees must work 35+ hours per week . Key Responsibilities Provide person-centered in-home and community support Assist with personal care and activities of daily living Assist with lifting and transferring as required Support specialized medical needs in accordance with the person's support plan and required training Support participation in community, social, and recreational activities Encourage independence, choice, and skill development Follow established support plans and routines Complete required electronic documentation accurately and on time Use agency systems and technology to complete training, documentation, and other job responsibilities Communicate effectively with the person, family, and support team Required Qualifications Ability to successfully complete all required Virginia DSP orientation, training, and competency requirements Ability to successfully complete all required background checks Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain required certification Ability to meet required TB/health screening requirements Basic computer and technology skills Ability to complete required electronic documentation accurately and within established deadlines Ability to assist with personal care, lifting, and transferring Dependable attendance and punctuality Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable working in a home with a service dog Preferred Qualifications Previous DSP, caregiving, direct care, or similar experience Experience supporting people with physical and/or specialized medical support needs REACH training or familiarity with Virginia REACH services Experience supporting people with community integration and recreational activities Compensation $21.00 per hour This is an in-home and community-based position located in Arlington, Virginia .
