Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide assistance to individuals in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will have experience with the IDD/DD population and a strong understanding of resident rights, ensuring that each individual receives the highest quality of care tailored to their unique needs. This role involves supporting daily living activities, promoting independence, and enhancing the overall well-being of residents. You will be providing assistance to high functioning individuals. Duties Assist residents with daily living activities. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences. Provide support during community outings. Provide support for individuals with cognitive impairments. Conduct patient observation to identify changes in behavior or health status. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care as needed. Engage residents in social activities to promote interaction and mental stimulation. Community Outings Medication Administration Requirements Previous experience in a residential setting is preferred. Certification in CPR, TOVA, Medication Management is a plus but not required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Ability to follow care plans and adapt to changing needs of residents. Must be able to perform light housekeeping duties as part of maintaining a clean environment. Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for evenings or weekends as needed. Valid Drivers License. Ability to Pass Background Check This is a weekend position. Friday through Sunday .
