Job Description

Valley Community Services Board is looking for compassionate and dedicated people to join our Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF) Team as a Direct Care Professional! Team members work together to foster independence and community engagement for individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential home. Full-time, part-time, and PRN positions are available for all shifts. Benefits Competitive compensation program:
Sign-on bonus of $2,500.00 paid on first paycheck. Hourly range from $17.75 - $21.69. Competitive pay based on overall experience in the field. Shift differentials for 2nd, 3rd, and weekend-only shifts. Up to $350/month retention stipend. 14 paid holidays, with double pay provided for holiday shifts. Health insurance as low as $40/month for individuals. Family and dependent plans are also available. Accrue up to 20 days of paid time off (PTO) per year from year one. PTO is immediately available upon accrual. Participation in the Virginia Retirement System. Professional development assistance provided at no cost. Summary of Essential Functions Provides direct, daily support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in both residential and community settings. Monitors clients' progress toward their personal goals, giving assistance as needed. Maintains a thorough understanding of and assists with the implements person-centered plans. Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to ensure client needs are understood and served. Assists with household tasks as needed, such as food preparation and cleaning. Works with teammates to ensure a safe, healthy environment within the home.
