Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper manual handling and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, reporting findings accurately in care plans Medication reminders Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Support patients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease through memory care techniques and personalized engagement strategies Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed Document patient progress, update care plans, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams and family members about resident's rights and well-being Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication reminders, and vital signs monitoring Experience working with individuals with autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, developmental disabilities, or intellectual disabilities support is advantageous Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as Hoyer lift training or hospice care are a plus Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks in accordance with safety standards Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy and confidentiality at all times Join us to make a positive impact through compassionate caregiving!
