Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and hygiene. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, tracking medication administration, and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols. Support clients with medication management in accordance with care plans while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering positive communication and respecting residents' rights within their care environment. Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs measurement, and basic first aid including CPR certification. Experience supporting individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous. Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and patient transfers safely and effectively. Strong communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare teams while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA standards.
