Amergis Healthcare has an opportunity for Residential Acute Care Workers and Direct Support Professionals to provide support in residential homes and community based settings at multiple locations in Chittenden County.

• Pay:

• $24•$27/hour based on experience, plus $500 sign on bonus •

Qualifications:

• + 2-3 years experience in a behavioral setting + Must be comfortable working 1 on 1, sometimes with severe cases + Valid driver's license, and use of a personal vehicle to transport residents as needed + Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing or other Human Development Major + High school degree or equivalent + Routine lifting + Ability to work either Saturday or Sunday + Knowledge of medical equipment + Committed to trauma-informed approach •

Schedule:

• 32-40 hours per week, multiple shifts available, 1 weekend day per week

• Job Duties:

• + Transport residents in personal vehicle as needed + Initiate constructive activities that address goals on a client's Individual treatment plan + Implement support and crisis plans in collaboration with the treatment team.

+ Facilitate community inclusion, daily living, and skill acquisition + Utilization of sound judgement and maintenance of calm demeanor during crisis + Provide needed behavioral and/or mental health support + Provide needed personal and/or medical care
